Krk/Malinska

Malinska is a small coastal resort on the western shore of the island of Krk, Croatia, overlooking the Kvarner Gulf. Set among pine woods and coves, it offers several pebble and rocky beaches, some equipped with jetties and shaded areas, popular for swimming and watersports such as sailing and paddleboarding. The seafront promenade (lungomare) links the village centre with the neighbouring settlements of Njivice and Bogovići, making for a pleasant coastal walk. The harbour is home to a marina used by yachting visitors, and the village retains an authentic feel with stone houses and quiet lanes. Local cuisine highlights produce from the island of Krk, including smoked ham (pršut), olive oil and the local Žlahtina white wine. The Mediterranean climate, with warm summers and mild winters, makes the area attractive to visitors from May to September. Malinska serves as a convenient base for exploring the island of Krk, which is connected to the mainland by a road bridge, as well as nearby towns such as Krk itself.
