Medulin

Medulin is a seaside resort at the southern tip of the Istrian peninsula in Croatia, just a few kilometres from Pula. The town stretches along a wide bay lined with sandy and pebble beaches, including Bijeca beach, popular for its shallow waters suited to families. The seafront promenade brings together beaches, cafés and watersport rentals, making sailing, kayaking and diving common activities in the area. Just offshore lies Levan Island, reachable by a short boat trip from the harbour or nearby beaches; this small uninhabited islet is known for the remains of a Roman villa and is a popular outing for swimming in calm waters and exploring the Istrian coastline. The Mediterranean climate, with hot, dry summers, draws visitors to the region throughout the season. Medulin also retains the feel of a fishing village, with a small harbour still in use today. Its proximity to Pula makes it easy to combine a stay here with a visit to the city's Roman amphitheatre and historic centre.
