Rabac/Sveti Lovreč Labinski

Rabac is a seaside resort on the eastern coast of Istria, Croatia, nestled in a bay surrounded by pine woods and hills. Administratively part of the town of Labin, whose hilltop old quarter—with cobbled lanes and Venetian-style architecture—overlooks the resort a few kilometres inland. Rabac's shoreline is characterised by pebble beaches and small coves, along with a seafront promenade lined with restaurants and cafés. The clear waters of the Adriatic are well suited to swimming and also draw diving enthusiasts and watersports fans, with several clubs and equipment hire points nearby. The region enjoys a Mediterranean climate with warm, dry summers, making it popular for coastal holidays from May to September. The surrounding countryside offers opportunities for hiking and cycling through inland Istria, an area known for its hilltop villages, vineyards and cuisine featuring truffles, cured ham (pršut) and olive oil. Rabac therefore serves as a convenient base for exploring both the coast and the Istrian hinterland, combining beach relaxation with easy access to historic towns further inland.
