Crikvenica/Jadranovo

Crikvenica and its neighbouring village of Jadranovo make up a well-regarded seaside destination on Croatia's Kvarner coast, just a few kilometres south of Opatija. Popular since the late 19th century for its mild climate and calm waters, the resort offers long pebble beaches and a seafront promenade lined with pines and palm trees. Jadranovo, quieter and more low-key, retains the feel of a traditional fishing village, with a small sheltered cove perfect for swimming. The surrounding area is well suited to walking in the foothills of Mount Velebit, visible in the distance, as well as diving and watersports along the rocky coastline. Coastal paths also link Crikvenica to Selce and Novi Vinodolski, ideal for exploring the shoreline on foot or by bike.
