Maslenica

Maslenica is a coastal village in Zadar County, in Dalmatia, best known for the road bridge spanning the Novsko Ždrilo channel at the entrance to Novigrad Bay. This strategic crossing connects northern Dalmatia to the rest of the Croatian coast and offers views over the channel's turquoise waters. The village serves as a convenient base for exploring the surrounding natural landscape: nearby national parks, including Paklenica with its hiking trails through the Velebit mountain range, are easily reached by car. From Zadar, around thirty minutes away, boat trips can be arranged to the islands of the archipelago, including those within Kornati National Park. Plitvice Lakes National Park, further afield but feasible as a day trip, also draws visitors from the region for its lakes and waterfalls. The area's Mediterranean climate supports outdoor activities for much of the year, from hiking and swimming to exploring the surrounding Dalmatian coastline.
