Povoletto

Povoletto is a small municipality in Friuli-Venezia Giulia, in the province of Udine, just a few kilometres from the provincial capital. The area lies between flat land and gentle hills, crossed by the Torre river, and includes several hamlets, among them Savorgnano del Torre, home to a historic castle linked to the noble Savorgnan family. The climate is temperate, with warm summers and mild winters, typical of this inland part of Friuli. Povoletto sits close to the Colli Orientali del Friuli wine region, known for its white and red wines, making it a convenient base for visiting local vineyards and cellars. Its proximity to Udine, an art city with its castle, main square and Venetian heritage, also allows for easy cultural day trips.
