Dervio

Dervio is a picturesque small village on the eastern shore of Lake Como, in Lombardy's Lecco province. Nestled between the lake's waters and the foothills of the Alps, it offers a peaceful setting valued for its authenticity, away from the busier tourist spots elsewhere on the lake. The historic centre, with its narrow lanes and colourful houses, slopes down to a small traditional harbour where local fishing boats are moored. Dervio is also known for the Isolino Malpensata, a rocky headland reachable on foot that provides open views across the lake and surrounding mountains. The area is popular with hikers, offering several trails leading up into the wooded hills, as well as water-based activities such as swimming, kayaking and sailing, aided by the steady winds that blow across this part of the lake.
