Pietrabruna

Pietrabruna is a small hilltop village in the hinterland of the Imperia province, Liguria, within the area known as the Riviera dei Fiori. Like many villages in this region, it features a typical medieval layout, with narrow alleyways (caruggi), tightly packed stone houses and vaulted passages designed to offer protection from wind and past invasions. The surrounding countryside is dominated by terraced olive groves, a defining feature of this part of Liguria, producing well-regarded extra virgin olive oils.
