Vendone

Vendone is a small village in the Ligurian hinterland, in the province of Savona, just a short drive from the Mediterranean coast. Its peaceful setting, surrounded by wooded hills and valley views, makes it an excellent base for exploring the Ligurian coastline. From Vendone, several coastal destinations are within easy reach: Alassio, with its seafront promenade and beaches, Savona, the provincial capital with a rich maritime history, Finalborgo, a fortified medieval village renowned for its architecture, and Cervo, a hilltop village known for its baroque church and picturesque alleyways. For a day trip, Monaco is also worth considering, as the principality is easily reached by train from the region. On the culinary side, the Osteria a Loano, located in the neighbouring town of Loano, is a well-regarded spot for sampling local cuisine.
