Finale Ligure

Finale Ligure is a seaside resort in the province of Savona, Liguria, known for its long stretches of pebble and sandy beaches along the so-called Riviera delle Palme. The town is divided into several districts, including Finalborgo, a fortified medieval village with cobbled lanes and typical Ligurian architecture, overlooked by the remains of San Giovanni Castle and Castello Caprazoppa. Finale Ligure is also renowned across Europe as a major destination for mountain biking and rock climbing, thanks to its limestone karst landscape offering numerous trails and cliffs. The mild Mediterranean climate, pleasant throughout the year, also makes it ideal for road cycling and hiking in the surrounding hills, where prehistoric caves such as the Arene Candide can be found. Local cuisine centres on seafood alongside classic Ligurian specialities like pesto, focaccia and taggiasca olive oil. The seafront, lively during the summer season, features a mix of beach clubs, restaurants and shops, while the historic centre retains a quieter, more authentic atmosphere.
