Bauduen

Bauduen is a small village in the Var department, in Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur, set on the shores of Lake Sainte-Croix, at the gateway to the Verdon Gorges. This turquoise lake, formed by a dam on the Verdon River, provides a striking natural setting ideal for swimming, canoeing, pedal boating and sailing. The village retains an authentic Provençal character, with narrow lanes, stone houses and a bell tower typical of towns built on this limestone landscape. A landscaped beach and small harbour offer direct access to the lake, drawing sports enthusiasts and families throughout the summer. The surrounding area also offers walking opportunities, including paths overlooking the gorges, one of Europe's most spectacular natural sites.
