Régusse

Régusse is a small village in the Var department, in the Haut-Var area of Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur, close to Lake Sainte-Croix and the Verdon Gorges. Surrounded by scrubland hills, vineyards and olive groves, it offers a typically peaceful Provençal setting, well suited to countryside stays. The village lies just a short drive from better-known towns such as Aups, known for its Provençal market and truffle production, and Barjols, famous for its numerous fountains and craft heritage. Lake Sainte-Croix and the Verdon Gorges, around twenty minutes away by car, offer swimming, canoeing and hiking amid dramatic cliffs and turquoise waters. The Mediterranean climate, with hot, dry summers and mild winters, makes outdoor activities possible for much of the year. The surrounding area also invites exploration of nearby hilltop villages, local markets and traditional Provençal produce, all within a setting that remains largely untouched by mass tourism, making it an appealing base for a quieter holiday in the region.
