Chateauneuf de Grasse

Châteauneuf-de-Grasse is a village in the Alpes-Maritimes department, perched on high ground overlooking Grasse, the world capital of perfume, and just a few kilometres from Valbonne, Opio and the Sophia Antipolis technology park. Its old centre, with narrow lanes typical of perched Provençal villages, offers open views over the Grasse basin and, on clear days, the Mediterranean Sea. The area is characterised by olive groves and the cultivation of perfume plants such as jasmine and rose, traditionally linked to the Grasse perfume industry. The nearby Opio-Valbonne golf course draws golf enthusiasts, while the Loup gorges and the perched village of Gourdon, around fifteen minutes away, are popular destinations for a day out. The mild Mediterranean climate, pleasant for much of the year, encourages outdoor activities. The village's location makes it easy to reach the Cannes and Antibes coastline, roughly twenty minutes by car, while still enjoying an unspoilt rural setting of pine woods and terraced hillsides typical of the Nice hinterland.
