Villelaure

Villelaure is a village in the Vaucluse department, on the edge of the Luberon, close to Pertuis and around thirty kilometres from Aix-en-Provence. It lies in the Durance valley, a rural setting shaped by the vineyards of the Côtes du Luberon appellation and the traditional crops of inland Provence. The Château de Villelaure, a privately owned estate surrounded by its own vineyard, stands as the village's architectural landmark. The atmosphere is quiet and village-like, with a centre built around the church and a handful of local shops.
