Thézan-lès-Béziers

Thézan-lès-Béziers is a wine-growing village in the Hérault department, located around ten kilometres north-east of Béziers, on the banks of the River Orb. The surrounding landscape, typical of the Languedoc region, combines vineyards, scrubland and gentle hills, providing an ideal setting for walks and exploring the local wine-growing heritage, particularly the Languedoc appellation wines. The Mediterranean climate, with hot, dry summers and mild winters, makes outdoor activities enjoyable for much of the year. The village retains a rural charm, with narrow streets in its old centre, while the surrounding countryside is well suited to hiking and cycling, particularly along the Orb valley. Thézan-lès-Béziers' location also makes it easy to reach the Mediterranean coastline, including the beaches of Valras-Plage and Sérignan, as well as the town of Béziers, known for its Roman arena and historic heritage. The Canal du Midi, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, flows nearby, offering opportunities for boat trips or riverside strolls.
