Torremolinos

Torremolinos is a coastal resort town on Spain's Costa del Sol, in the province of Málaga, Andalusia. Since the 1960s, it has become one of Spain's most visited holiday destinations, known for its long sandy beaches such as La Carihuela and El Bajondillo, lined with lively seafront promenades. The La Carihuela district, a former fishing village, has retained a more authentic charm with its narrow streets and restaurants specialising in seafood and the region's typical fried fish, known as "pescaíto frito". The town enjoys a mild Mediterranean climate year-round, with warm summers and gentle winters, making it a popular choice outside the peak summer season too. Torremolinos offers a vibrant nightlife scene, with numerous bars, nightclubs and terraces, alongside varied tourist facilities including hotels, an aquarium and nearby theme parks. Its proximity to Málaga Airport, just a few kilometres away, and its connection via the Cercanías suburban train line make it a convenient base for exploring the Andalusian coast, Marbella or Málaga city.
