Beynat

Beynat is a village in the Corrèze department, within the Bassin de Brive area, set among the wooded hills and rolling countryside typical of the Limousin region. It's known for its landscaped lake, popular for swimming and water sports, as well as for the many walking trails that wind through the surrounding countryside. Nearby, the Gimel-les-Cascades waterfalls make for a rewarding outing: the walk leading to them, dotted with striking cascades, is regularly recommended by the local tourist office. Beynat also lies a short distance from Collonges-la-Rouge, listed among the most beautiful villages in France and instantly recognisable for its red sandstone buildings and medieval lanes.
