Brignogan-Plage

Brignogan-Plage is a small commune in northern Finistère, Brittany, located on the Côte des Légendes between Roscoff and Lesneven. This fishing village is known for its rocky coastline, featuring pink granite formations and coastal heathland typical of this part of Brittany. The Pontusval lighthouse, set upon a rocky outcrop, is a notable landmark along the coastal footpath (GR34), popular for walking. The seaside Notre-Dame-du-Bon-Voyage chapel reflects the area's maritime religious heritage. The fine sandy beaches, particularly near the village centre, are well suited to swimming and watersports such as sand yachting and kayaking, thanks to the steady coastal winds. The surrounding area, between Brignogan and Plouguerneau, is valued for its unspoilt scenery and tranquillity, away from the busier seaside resorts. Shellfish gathering at low tide remains a common pastime along this stretch of coast. The temperate oceanic climate allows for visits throughout the year, with higher numbers of visitors during the summer months.
