Goulien

Goulien is a village in Finistère, located in the Cap Sizun area of Brittany, just a few kilometres from the Pointe du Van and Audierne. It is best known for the Cap Sizun nature reserve, managed by Bretagne Vivante, which protects the cliffs and hosts a significant colony of nesting seabirds, including fulmars, guillemots and cormorants. The site attracts birdwatchers and coastal walkers, with the GR34 coastal footpath running nearby along the dramatic cliffs of Cap Sizun. The surrounding area remains rural and unspoilt, featuring heathland, hedgerowed farmland and rocky coastline typical of this Breton headland. Nearby towns such as Audierne and Douarnenez offer beaches, harbours and local markets selling seafood and Breton specialities.
