Marina di Massa

Marina di Massa is a seaside resort in Tuscany, in the province of Massa-Carrara, set along the Tyrrhenian coast known as the Riviera Apuane. It is known for its long, fine sandy beaches lined with well-equipped beach clubs and a pine wood that provides welcome shade during the summer months. The seafront promenade, lively with shops, bars and gelaterias, forms the hub of summer life. The town enjoys a striking backdrop: the Apuan Alps, including the famous Carrara marble quarries, visible from the shoreline, lend the landscape a distinctive character. The mild Mediterranean climate makes it ideal for outdoor pursuits such as swimming, cycling and coastal walks. Marina di Massa lies close to Forte dei Marmi and other well-known Versilia resorts, while retaining a more relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere. The town of Massa itself, with its historic centre and fortress, sits just a few kilometres inland. The location also makes it a convenient base for day trips to the Cinque Terre or Pisa.
