Marina Pietrasanta

Marina di Pietrasanta is the seaside area of the town of Pietrasanta, located in Versilia, on the Tuscan coast within the province of Lucca. This stretch of coastline is divided into several districts, including Tonfano, Motrone and Fiumetto, lined with long sandy beaches home to numerous traditional beach clubs, complete with colourful cabins and shaded pine groves set back from the shore. The area benefits from a coastal cycle path connecting it to neighbouring resorts such as Forte dei Marmi, known for its more fashionable atmosphere. A few kilometres inland lies the historic centre of Pietrasanta, an art town renowned for its marble-carving workshops, contemporary art galleries and central square surrounded by religious buildings. The Apuan Alps, visible from the coast, provide a distinctive mountainous backdrop typical of the Versilia region. The Mediterranean climate, with hot, dry summers, is ideal for classic seaside pursuits such as swimming, sunbathing, water sports and long coastal walks. The area is also appreciated for its Tuscan cuisine, blending fresh seafood with local specialities.
