Los Cristianos

Los Cristianos is a coastal resort town in southern Tenerife, within the municipality of Arona in the Canary Islands. Once a fishing village, it retains an active harbour from which ferries depart for La Gomera, La Palma and El Hierro, alongside boat trips for spotting dolphins and whales off the coast. The town is built around two sandy beaches, Playa de Los Cristianos and Playa de Las Vistas, both lined with a seafront promenade dotted with shops, bars and restaurants. Its mild, dry climate year-round, typical of the island's south, makes it a popular choice outside the summer season. Unlike neighbouring Playa de las Américas, which leans more towards nightlife, Los Cristianos maintains a quieter, more family-oriented and residential feel. Nearby attractions include the Siam Park water park in Costa Adeje and Teide National Park, reachable by car from the coast, offering a striking contrast between seaside and volcanic scenery. The area also has well-developed shops, markets and tourist amenities, making it easy to get by without a car.
