Axams

Axams is a village in the Austrian Tyrol, located in the Innsbruck-Land district, around ten kilometres west of the regional capital. Nestled in the Inn Valley at the foot of the Kalkkögel mountain range, the village serves as the gateway to the Axamer Lizum ski resort, which hosted the alpine skiing events of the 1964 and 1976 Winter Olympics. This proximity makes it a popular base for winter sports holidays, with lift connections linking Axams to the higher slopes.
