St-Pierre-Quiberon

Saint-Pierre-Quiberon is a commune in the Morbihan department of southern Brittany, located on the Quiberon peninsula between the Atlantic Ocean and the Bay of Quiberon. To the west, the commune borders the Côte Sauvage (Wild Coast), a stretch of granite cliffs battered by Atlantic swells, popular for coastal path walking as well as surfing and sand-yachting. On the eastern side, the bay offers calmer waters well suited to sailing, kayaking and family swimming. The hamlet of Portivy, at the northern tip, retains a small traditional fishing harbour where shore fishing is still practised. The peninsula enjoys a temperate oceanic climate, with mild summers and moderate winters. The village centre offers shops and restaurants focused on seafood, notably oysters and fish. Its proximity to Quiberon town, with its harbour and ferry links to Belle-Île-en-Mer, as well as the megalithic sites of Carnac, makes it a convenient base for exploring the wider region. The unspoilt natural surroundings and open coastal landscapes remain the destination's main draw.
