Tohmajärvi

Tohmajärvi is a rural municipality in the North Karelia region of eastern Finland, close to the Russian border. The landscape is typical of Karelian scenery, featuring a mix of coniferous forests, farmland and numerous lakes, including Lake Tohmajärvi, after which the municipality is named.
