Crac'h

Crac'h is a village in the Morbihan department of Brittany, just a few kilometres from La Trinité-sur-Mer and Carnac, known respectively for their sailing harbour and megalithic stone alignments. The village is crossed by the Crac'h river, a tidal estuary flowing into the Bay of Quiberon, along which oyster farming is traditionally practised. The town retains a typically rural Breton character, with stone houses and surrounding countryside well suited to walking and cycling. Its proximity to the Atlantic coast provides easy access to the beaches of the Quiberon peninsula and to watersports, particularly sailing, for which La Trinité-sur-Mer is especially well regarded. Local markets offer a chance to sample seafood, including oysters, alongside other Breton specialities. Crac'h's location makes it a peaceful base for exploring the Morbihan region, combining megalithic heritage, protected natural sites and coastal life, while offering a quieter alternative to the busier seaside resorts nearby.
