Koserow

Koserow is a seaside resort on the island of Usedom, on Germany's Baltic coast, in the state of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. One of the island's oldest holiday villages, it is known for its traditional thatched-roof cottages and unspoilt natural surroundings, set between fine sandy beaches, dunes and pine woodland. Nearby rises the Streckelsberg, the highest point on Usedom, offering open views over the sea and coastline and popular with walkers and hikers. The village has its own pier (Seebrücke) reaching out into the Baltic, a favourite spot for an evening stroll, particularly at sunset. Koserow holds official status as a Baltic Sea health resort (Ostseeheilbad), reflecting recognised air quality and facilities geared towards rest and wellbeing. A long coastal promenade links the village to neighbouring resorts and is well suited to both walking and cycling. The atmosphere remains quiet and family-friendly, a contrast to the busier resorts further along the coast, with an emphasis on classic seaside tourism, regional produce and outdoor activities typical of Germany's Baltic shoreline.
