Prigradica Korčula

Prigradica is a small fishing village on the south-western coast of the island of Korčula, Croatia, within the municipality of Blato. Set at the head of a sheltered bay, it offers a tranquil setting away from the busier tourist spots, with a traditional small harbour where fishing boats are moored. The surrounding coastline alternates between rocky coves and pebble beaches, well suited to swimming and watersports such as kayaking and diving. The hinterland features olive groves and vineyards typical of Korčula, an island known for its native Pošip and Grk grape varieties as well as its olive oil. The nearby town of Blato, a few kilometres away, has a historic centre notable for its avenue of century-old plane trees. Korčula Town, the island's main hub linked to the Marco Polo legend, is also within a reasonable drive. The Mediterranean climate, with hot, dry summers and mild winters, supports a seasonal tourism centred on the sea, fresh seafood, and local island produce.
