Badesi

Badesi is a small town on the northern coast of Sardinia, in the province of Sassari, within the Gallura region, close to the mouth of the Coghinas river. The area is fringed by a fine sandy beach backed by dunes shaped by the river's sediments, offering a natural, unspoilt setting popular for swimming and long walks. Badesi is also known for its thermal springs, harnessed at the Terme di Badesi, a spa offering treatments and baths in warm mineral water valued for their relaxing properties. The surrounding countryside, set between the sea and rolling hills planted with vineyards and olive groves, makes a good base for day trips to nearby destinations such as Santa Teresa Gallura, Costa Paradiso and Isola Rossa, all known for their rocky coves and turquoise waters. The Mediterranean climate, with hot, dry summers and mild winters, allows for outdoor activities for much of the year. Local cuisine highlights fresh seafood alongside traditional Sardinian specialities such as sheep's milk cheeses and rustic breads.
