St-Quay-Portrieux

St-Quay-Portrieux is a coastal town in the Côtes-d'Armor department of Brittany, overlooking the Bay of Saint-Brieuc. The resort is best known for its marina, Port d'Armor, which also shelters an active fishing fleet specialising in scallops. The town has several sandy beaches, including Plage du Casino and Plage de la Comtesse, popular for swimming and watersports such as sea kayaking and sailing. A seafront thalassotherapy centre adds to the town's appeal for wellness-focused visitors. The coastal footpath (GR34, known locally as the sentier des douaniers) runs along the shoreline, offering views of cliffs, coves and nearby islands, including the Saint-Quay island nature reserve, home to numerous seabirds.
