Anglet

Anglet is a town in the French Basque Country, located on the Atlantic coast between Biarritz and Bayonne, both of which are immediate neighbours, making it a convenient base for exploring either city. Known for its beaches, Anglet stretches along several kilometres of coastline, with spots popular among surfers such as Les Cavaliers, Chambre d'Amour and VVF beaches. The Pignada forest, a large wooded area right in the heart of town, offers a pleasant setting for walks and outdoor activities away from the busier seafront. The mild oceanic climate, enjoyed for much of the year, makes the area well suited to surfing and other water sports. Being right next to Biarritz means easy access to its historic centre, Grande Plage and shops, while staying in a quieter, greener setting in Anglet itself. Bayonne, with its architectural heritage and Basque culinary specialities, is also just a short drive away.
