Peyragudes Agudes

Peyragudes is a ski resort in the French Pyrenees, spanning the villages of Germ and Agudes in the Hautes-Pyrénées department, close to the Peyresourde pass. The ski area, linked with Peyresourde-Balestas, rises above 2,400 metres and offers slopes suited to all levels, with open views across the Pyrenean range. The resort is particularly known for its high-altitude helicopter landing strip, which featured in a scene from a James Bond film. The quiet, unspoilt mountain setting appeals to families and more experienced skiers alike. Outside the winter season, the area is well suited to hiking and mountain biking, with easy access to mid-mountain trails. The nearby village of Loudenvielle, just a few kilometres away, offers thermal spa facilities and a lake set up for summer activities. Peyragudes retains an authentic character, away from the bustle of larger resorts, making it a popular choice for year-round mountain stays combining winter sports with unspoilt natural surroundings.
