Lecci

Lecci is a commune in southern Corsica (Corse-du-Sud), located within the Gulf of Porto-Vecchio, just a few kilometres from the centre of Porto-Vecchio itself. The area includes the well-known Santa Giulia sector, renowned for its turquoise bay and fine sandy beach, one of the most popular stretches of coastline in Corsica. The commune stretches across Mediterranean scrubland, wooded hills and coastline, offering the kind of unspoilt natural setting typical of the island's south-east. The region enjoys a Mediterranean climate with hot, dry summers, well suited to water sports such as diving, kayaking and sailing, as well as inland walking and hiking. Lecci makes a convenient base for exploring nearby Palombaggia beach or the town of Porto-Vecchio, known for its marina and lively old-town streets. The area sees considerable seasonal tourist activity during the summer months, while the rest of the year brings a quieter atmosphere, better suited to appreciating the natural surroundings and coastal scenery of southern Corsica.
