Favone

Favone is a small coastal village in Corse-du-Sud, on Corsica's eastern shoreline, between Solenzara and Porto-Vecchio. The hamlet sits alongside a fine sandy beach known for its clear waters, and the surrounding area boasts several other beaches celebrated for their unspoilt natural setting. Inland, the Bavella massif, with its famous rock needles, is a must-see for hikers and those drawn to Corsica's dramatic mountain scenery. The region also lends itself well to canyoning, particularly along the valleys and rivers descending from the massif, making it a popular spot for outdoor and adventure activities. Further south, the town of Bonifacio, perched on limestone cliffs above the sea, is well worth a visit for its distinctive architecture and striking setting. Favone therefore makes a convenient base for exploring both the coastline and the mountainous hinterland of south-eastern Corsica, combining beaches, hiking and cultural discovery in equal measure.
