Brides les Bains

Brides-les-Bains is a thermal spa town in Savoie, tucked away at around 600 metres above sea level at the foot of the Allues valley. It is well known for its thermal cures, particularly those focused on weight management, as well as for its casino. The town also serves as a gateway to the Three Valleys ski area, thanks to a gondola lift connecting directly to Méribel, allowing visitors to reach the slopes without staying at altitude. From Brides-les-Bains, a day trip to Courchevel is easy to arrange: the higher resort offers a classic alpine setting, complete with a small lake and a few wine cellars worth visiting, ideal for a break after a walk. The surrounding landscape is typical of mid-mountain terrain, with pine forests and views over the neighbouring peaks. Outside the winter season, the town remains active thanks to its spa tourism and hiking opportunities, offering a quieter pace than the higher altitude resorts nearby. Brides-les-Bains thus makes a practical base for combining thermal relaxation with access to the Three Valleys, while also allowing for excursions to nearby villages such as Courchevel.
